Ideas!!

The 'details' have probably been one of the hardest things for me with the wedding. I want our wedding to be slightly traditional, a little different, unique and fun. I just had a thought w/ tables/centerpieces etc. The theme/concept is 'the roads that led us here'. Instead of just traditional table numbers, maybe just naming each table by Roads in our life that got William and I to where we are now. We will have around 18-20 tables....I know of 8 streets that I have lived on to date in my life.....William lived in like 18 different places by the time he was 16...so we wouldn't have a problem coming up with ideas, but I am thinking like using the names of roads where our parents grew up, etc b/c their lives were an integral part of making ours....

I played soccer today and tried to do some more wedding things, had a decent idea for finishing up the maids gifts, I'm excited about that....the ideas are FINALLY coming together!!

I have a pleasant surprise of William being home tonight during a drill weekend so we are going to get all fancied up and go out to a nice dinner.

A few things to do.

I am doing a 1/2 marathon in 5 weeks, and getting married in 3! I have been doing my fare share of nice long runs. I have two odd extremes when I go on 4+ mile runs...either I run outside 'un-plugged' with no headphones/ iPods/cell phones, etc. at all, or I run on a treadmill where I can stare at a TV the entire time (get my fill of cable). Anyhow, the nice part of the outside runs and being un-plugged, is being alone with my thoughts. Today on an 8.4 mile run I had lots of them, an decided 'Kate you should do a Blog' for the last 21 days leading up to the wedding. I have a tendency to give too much detail in my stories, something I'm really trying to work on, maybe a Blog will help?? Probably not. But it's a place for my thoughts, stories, etc. This Blog may be about upcoming nuptials, running, work, a little bit of it all, we shall see.

I do know that I really hope to cross quite a few things off of my 'To Do Wedding List" this weekend while William is at Drill, in between soccer and football games, of course!

Now back to watching a 9/11 Special....like everyone else, I truly can't believe it has been 10 years.
